How would you describe your role with Dispel Dice and Legends of Avantris, and what do you love most about what you do?

My title might be “Project Manager” but I’m really a Jack-of-all-Trades, and I absolutely love it. I’ve had the privilege of working for a variety of different companies throughout my career—everything from education technology to community management for Neil deGrasse Tyson and the StarTalk podcast. I spent a lot of my career working for tech startups, and I think that primed me well for the challenges that businesses like Dispel and Avantris can have.

Every day is a little different. I bounce between checking off my to-do list to keep Dispel on track, to building out the marketing plan for holiday and kickstarter launches at Avantris. I love that I get to touch so many areas of the business, from providing feedback to our manufacturer to ideating on content for Patreon and email marketing. 

You worked closely with our team on the Revenant Dice, which will be paired with our upcoming bottle. Can you tell us what it takes to bring these beauties to life?

Creating dice is such a fun process! First, our Art Director, Xi, starts with ideating on the concept, using a theme or color story as inspiration. We sketch out the art, planning what each individual die will look like based on Xi’s artwork and the shape of the dice. Perfecting the layout means we’re able to start matching resin colors to imagery, finishing the whole process with samples!

Seeing the dice come together as a physical product is the best part. Suddenly, the process that began as color swatches and sketches is real and in our hands. The last touch is to add inking to the number wells, and then voila! New dice have entered the world, ready to be rolled at the table!

We had an absolute blast at the shared Dispel Dice, Legends of Avantris, and Quest's End party at Gen Con! What were your favorite moments from Gen Con and the party itself?

Our Triple Threat Party was one of the best events I went to at Gen Con 2026! Being part of both the Dispel & Avantris teams allowed me to enjoy the party on multiple fronts, but I have to say that my absolute favorite part of the night was watching The Crooked Moon sweep the ENNIES! I can’t even begin to say how amazing the energy was, sharing that night with the entire community.

Gen Con is one of my favorite conventions of the year. This is the second time that I hosted the Dispel Dice Swap community event, joining forces with Norse Foundry this year. I started hosting the Dispel Dice Swap as a passion project—I was a fan of the brand who wanted to share their love of dice and gaming with other like-minded nerds. The first event was a huge success, and a few months later Karen hired me to found & manage the Dispel Discord. Our community of more than 1500 people is one of the most wholesome and supportive corners of the internet. Watching the friendships flourish and grow online and then extend out to events at conventions is maybe the best part of my job. 

As someone deeply embedded in the TTRPG community who works with both Dispel Dice and Legends of Avantris—and without spoiling any secret projects we might be cooking up together in the future—what do you think makes collaborations between gaming creators and Find Familiar Spirits resonate so strongly with fans?

It’s absolutely the way putting a game on the table and sitting down with a drink can really build relationships. Bonding with friends over shared hobbies, a plate of snacks, and a good drink can really make an evening. I think there’s a lot to be said about using something like a “nerdy whiskey” to help people who’ve only ever chatted online forge friendships that come off the screen into real life. It turns a game day into a game event instead.

“I just picked up the Dispel X Quest’s End collaboration! Let’s share a drink and play some D&D together!” turns into more than just a social hang—it’s a real bonding event. 

What’s your favorite game to play, and if you play D&D, do you have a favorite class to play and why?

While I absolutely love RPGs, I’m more of a board game player overall. The friend group hosts a monthly Nerd Day where we game, or paint minis, or hang out and do nerdy crafts together.

My all time favorite board game is probably Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game (2008). It’s one of the few games that bridges the gap between IP and amazing gameplay, but you do need to be prepared for a 6-8 hour long game! I love social deduction games, and the mid-way “new traitor added to game” mechanic is one of my favorites.

As far as D&D goes, I love a classic! I’ve been playing D&D with friends since the 1990s, starting in high school, and learning how to compute THACO just in time to move to 3rd edition. My preferred class is always a Sorceress; only nerds play wizards! 

And of course, we have to ask: what’s your favorite drink or cocktail, and how do you usually take your whiskey?

I take my whiskey in an old fashioned, seated at the local tavern, surrounded by my party—a Dragonborn, an Aassimir, a Tortle, and our Firbolg on her own Rumspringa. If there isn’t a high ball glass in my hand, you’ll find me with a chilled glass of rosé instead!
