Amazing (as expected)

Quest's End NPC, Master of the Thieves Guild is yet another wonderful product from the folks at Find Familiar Spirits and Quest's End. Subtle hints of vanilla and toffee, wonderful neat, amazing on the rocks, but in an Old Fashioned is where it becomes absolutely crushable. Can't wait to try it with Black Walnut Bitters (the original old fashioned I tried was the normal Angostura bitters) - believe the nutty flavors from the walnut bitters will pair so well with the vanilla/toffee notes. Congrats on yet another product that I am glad will always be in stock, as this has become my go-to for an "everyday" whiskey and has replaced Elijah Craig for my old fashioneds.

Made me a Whiskey Drinker

Absolutely fantastic whiskey. I had a few cocktails and sips of whiskey here and there, but I never really enjoyed drinks that were whiskey forward. On a whim, I decided to pick this up, since it's a bit nicer than what I can usually get.

Absolutely fantastic in whiskey forward cocktails or neat. This gave me an appreciation for this particular liquor tradition and encouraged me to branch out. Definitely getting a second bottle now that I've polished off the first one.

Great taste and aroma

We are both CR fans, me more than him. My husband loves his whiskey and thoroughly enjoyed! I wanted all the cool stuff and empty bottle. He loved it so much I had to order another bottle!

Bottle 9,777 - Smooth

Got my bottle today. An early Father's Day present. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. Hard to believe the S.H.I.T.S. were able to create such a fandom that has influenced so much of the TTRPG world. *Riases a glass* To Critical Role. To Vox Machina, to the Mighty Nine, to Bells Hells. The last 10 years have been necessary and it has taken a lot of Courage to see them through. Cheers.

Worthy of Whitestone

Just got my bottle and items, very nice looking. The Whisky is very smooth, a nice sipping whisky worthy of bringing out for special occasions. I can see why the cast chose it.

Soooo smooth!

Got my bottle recently and I'm in love with it. Tasty and smooth. Great sipper, scary mixer (good down way too easy). Really happy with my purchase.

As a CR fan and a whiskey enthusiast, I was hopeful for this collaboration. I found the whiskey has a beautiful depth of color. The initial flavor is sweet and smoky. The end has a bite that requires a bit of courage, or an ice cube.

Has an incredible taste and is so smooth. I highly recommend getting a bottle if you haven't already. Definitely a whisky I would pour after a long days work to help relax.

Artistry at its Finest

From the story, to the bottle, to the contents Rare, Fine, & Limited is a work of art in every sense. As my first Sotol experience, I have little to compare it to, but in relating it to Mezcal and Tequila, it has the upfront taste of a quality Tequila with a subtle smokiness that’s not as pronounced as most Mezcals. It is very smooth neat or chilled, and has become my favorite substitute to an old fashioned from whisky. The bottle will be a display piece long after the contents have been finished (or all but a sip to hold to the story). It’s intricate and stunning from the details on the bottle to the frame and painting matching the cover of the story. Finally the story itself, Mike Flanagan has such a unique style of storytelling and this was no exception. I don’t want to give anything away, but know that it has cycled through many of my friends all who have rave reviews. This is a must-buy for a discerning connoisseur of beverages as well as collector of art and horror fans. Great all around.

Essence of Desert

The moment I tasted this spirit, it felt like I was tasting the experience of being in a desert next to a campfire. Bright desert floral notes with a hint smoke. The novella story that comes with the bottle mirrors that sipping experience wonderfully. Extremely recommended for anyone willing to try something Rare, Fine & Limited.

A perfect pairing!!

Find Familiar Spirits delivers again. Such a unique experience as always. This collaboration with Mike Flanagan brings together a perfectly paired tale of terror with a dangerously delicious spirit that is smooth from start to finish. Well done FFS team!!

First time trying sotol.. my tastebuds are AMAZED !!

I am fairly new to the whole world of spirits and high end alcohol. Upon being introduced to Sotol when this product was announced, I was both intrigued and hesitant. I am notorious for not really liking the taste of alcohol. However, Macabre Spirits Sotol changed the game for me! I found myself genuinely enjoying the taste of it! Even more than my liquor of choice, tequila. The notes are smoky, a bit fiery, and a hint of sweetness. When made into a mixed drink, it is so smooth and refreshing. Will definitely be cracking my bottle open for special occasions! This release has me beyond ecstatic for future releases of Macabre Spirits! 🥃🖤🥀

First the Courage, then the Dragons

Expected Courage to be as great as all the other offerings from Find Familiar Spirits/Quest's End and I was not disappointed. This 98 proof whiskey is smooth and buttery, with a hint of sweetness, smoke, and bacon. Drinks well neat but even better on the rocks. Have to fight the urge to chug it down! A masterpiece of celebration of Critical Role's 10 years and yet another wonderful collaboration between Quest's End and Critical Role. Looking forward to seeing what else they bring out of the Critical Role world! Here's my unboxing and taste test!

A Killer Experience in Every Sip

This isn’t just a bottle—it’s a beautifully twisted experience. The moment I unboxed it, I felt like I was being let in on a dark secret. The design is gorgeously macabre, with gothic elegance and vintage horror vibes that feel ripped from a Mike Flanagan film itself.

The drink itself? Smooth, smoky, and complex—like it’s hiding something. Each sip creeps up on you, lingering just long enough to keep you thinking about it hours later.

The bottle 😍

It finally arrived !! I wish I would've ordered 2. One to drink, and one to display.

So Good Its Dangerous

I popped the cork on this bottle to celebrate a recent win, but planned to just have one drink to make Dragon last. Unfortunately for me, the glass was over too quickly so I simply HAD to have another. The bottle is nearing the end, but thankfully Dragon is still on sale so I can grab another.

My advice? Get two and save yourself the sadness of pouring the last glass.

Dragon’s End and Gaming night!

My group of friends had this last evening at our weekly GURPS game! (Thanks Rob!) We found it to be wonderful, with a slight hint of Smokey flavor, layered with the smoothness of port wine barrel aging. Very good over ice. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates a fine sipping whisky. No Dragons were harmed during the enjoyment of this drink.

My husband drank it all

I guess he's got a lot of hit points, now. I'll slay him if he drinks the rest without me. It's complex and delicious -- the smoke is subtle, which I appreciated.

WOW

Honestly some of the best blended whiskey I've ever tried. This is so smooth and full of awesome flavors. Bought a second bottle quickly after trying my first. If you prefer your whiskey neat, this is going to be about as good as it gets.

Complex with a spicy finish

Really enjoyed this release! It's really different from Rogue and Paladin. So cool how the flavor profile of each one really matches the vibe of the character class. Attention to detail in the story/art/bottle is awesome.

Wish I’d bought more!

I love the Paladin and the Warlock, but my Lady (who plays rogues) says this is her favorite. “It’s just stabby enough!”, she says. If they ever do another run, I’m buying 10 bottles!

Love the blend

I very much love this blend. I wish I had ordered 12 of these bottles as my pallet enjoys the wonderful flavor

Great bourbon

Better than the other quest end liquors thus far, but if anyone knows what that lil winged monkey with the bottle is.

Best yet from Quest's End!

Appearance: Rich, deep, amber colored; clear. Legs slow to form and thick

Nose: burst of fresh-cut fruit--nectarines, peaches, cherries, citrus--gives way to some citrus peel and dried figgy notes, and then some grain-y spice--cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice--all underpinned by a warm vanilla oakiness
(Most glasses showcased about the same notes, but the Norlan brought out a strong apple note, and some dark leather-y notes as well)

Palate: Those spice and citrus notes come across strong on the palate. Tangerine-like, and sweet with a warm--almost spicy--heat

Finish: while the citrus and spice explosion of the palate recedes, the oakiness lingers with a bit of barrel spice leaving almost the aftertaste of spicy food.

Overall: An excellent dram. I have to admit I was a little worried by the description; normally ‘potent’ and ‘edge’ mark some harsh off flavors, but not here! This whiskey shows that a blend can have fire and fierceness without the harsh alcohol flavors of underaged whiskeys--or even without relying on the harder wheaty notes (though I’d be surprised if there wasn’t any wheated bourbon in there).
Overall a wonderful and delightful whiskey, the best yet from Quest’s End I’d say (and I was rather critical of their first two).
