RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 oz Macabre Spirits Rare, Fine & Limited sotol

• 1/2 Blood Orange: Cut a thin wheel for garnish then juice half of the orange into a container

• 1 oz Simple syrup

• Red wine: Use a full-bodied dry red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Chill the glass. Place a coupe or old-fashioned glass in the freezer to keep your cocktail extra chilly.

2. Combine blood orange juice, sotol, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, seal, shake vigorously until frosty, and strain into the glass.

3. Float the red wine on top. Very slowly pour the red wine over the back of a small spoon into the drink until it pools onto the surface. 

4. Garnish with the blood orange wheel and serve.
